new blog, love is in the air

Hope and I are getting married in less than two months. Things can get pretty busy and sometimes stressful, but they are pretty dang exciting too. Last night we had most of our wedding party and other friends over who are involved in the wedding, to have a pasta dinner (which Hope cooked, and it was amazing!) and help us stuff and adress envelopes to send off our invitations. It was a really good time. It seems like everyone is excited for us and it's great that everyone was willing to help us out and make at least one of the tasks easier on us.
I'm just writing to get a first post up. I haven't told Hope that I signed us up for a joint blog yet, but hopefully she'll be excited and we can both update this and let people know about what's going on in our lives and marriage.
We're going home to see my family this weekend. We are very excited. Hopefully it will be a good time for us to rest and relax. We have not seen my family since we've been engaged. Hope's parents will also be coming up for part of the weekend to meet my family; that will be interesting, but I'm sure everyone is excited about it.
Well I think that that is all for now. Remember where your joy comes from. Nothing in life is certain. Things change, people change, people get hurt, people die, people do bad things, cars break down, money dissappears, bodies get injured and grow old, outer beauty fades, accidents happen, jobs are lost, years are wasted..... there is something that never changes and will always give you hope for tomorrow... remember that He is good and His love endures forever. He has the ability to bring you joy no matter what your circumstances. It may not come right away, but sometimes we go through hard things so that we may experience greater happiness at the other end.
